I did not find much information about this subject here. That is the reason for this post.

Any thoughts on transferring from BEC to PERM? I know that some folks in my company who applied recently with PERM got approval in less than a week!

I am wondering if anyone has already tried to transfer from BEC to PERM and what their experience has been?

I know that it is risky as it involves closing the pending case in BEC before opening a new one in PERM. The risk of losing the original PD is very high, especially for those of us with > 6years of H1.

DOL was supposed to get back with more clarification on the subject of transfer after gathering stakeholder comments but have not anything about it from DOL in months.

Hello. I am playing around with making a little app that allows me to draw a polygon shape and then determine how many rectangles can fit inside that shape. The rectangles only have two widths, but can be as long as needed.

It occurred to me that I might somehow be able to have that polygon shape act like a wrap panel and the rectangles inside would self-adjust based on the space provided. Two questions:

1) Is it possible to make a wrap panel with custom borders (not just rectangular)?
2) Is there an equivalent component, to the wrap panel, in Flash? If so, can that component have custom borders?

Hi - I am currently on an L1 blanket visa and it looks like my company will sell the unit I work for in the US. The parent company will sell the US division - I am currently in the process of applying for my GC - with the I40, and I485 both pending. I had my biometrics done today.

Want to gain some views on what my options are if the GC route does not pan out. I am on a UK passport, and would like to remain in the states. The GC is an employment based application - which is apparently quick, but I want to have a plan B. Is the next best option the H1B, and if so, will I be able to apply for this (if needs be) inside the US with another company if they are prepared to take me on?

H4 goes void once u start using EAD.So where is the question of extension of h4.???If u donot use EAD,u can parallelly extend ur h4 visa until ur petitions are pending.

Is it okay with AOS application to take contract Job after six month of AOS filling.

I am getting a long term contract with better opportunities. How is the contract job interpreted with continuing AOS application

You can do anything, using EAD or H1B if you have one, prior to getting your GC, as long as when you are nearing your GC, your GC sponsor or some other employer, is prepared to confirm that job same/similar to what is in LC, is available for you.

Hi Friends,

I am waiting for the approval of my I-131. Can I fax a request to approve/speedup the process? If I can send the fax, can someone pass the fax number?

Background:

I applied for I-131 online in May, 2008 at TEXAS Service center. I applied before 120 days of the expiration. In December 2008 I got an RFE asking for the reasons why I applied before 120 days of expiration of AP authorization. I sent the response on Dec 11th.
