I recall that USCIS was planning to issue 2 year AP and 2 year EAD. I see that the 2 year EAD has been implemented. ANy idea, if and when the 2 year AP implementation is expected?

Hi All,
I just called USCIS using the POJ method to check on my I485 status which is current for June (EB2 India PD is 3/20/04).
IO said a visa needs to be ordered for the file and it will be done in the next quarter i.e, July 08.She also said the file will not be assigned to the IO unless the visa is ordered??
Does this mean that all the visas for EB2 have been used for this quarter? Also, not sure why the file wont be worked on until the visa is ordered...which contradicts the pre-adjudication theory.

When preparing docs to provide response for 221g form, I have filled DS-156 form at http://https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp. On click of Continue, it generated a PDF with randon bar code. Printed that online. And sent to docs to VFS Hyderabad officer.

I was told that bar code is wrong, I should fill up another DS-156 form. Are they looking for DS-156 submitted at the time of interview that has HDFC receipt number as bar code.

Please let me know if you have faced this problem earlier.

They have retained my wife passport asked to produce to copy of current visa of husband. Can I reply to this online.

Another thing I would like to mention. My I-140 got approved couple months back but applied I-485 during July 2007, so it's more then 180 days for I-485 not for I-140.

Any suggestion.

Hello Everyone,

My dates are current last month. I added my wife couple weeks back [I couldnt add her earlier as i was not married then]. I got her receipt notices and also fingerprinting. My question is :

is there a way to say that she is linked to my application ?

becuase when I call USCIS, they say: This is separate application and they cant say if it is linked to primary or not.

--> Does receiving receipt notices mean that they accepted her application and linked to primary ?

--> does Fingerprinting appointment means that they accepted her application.

My concern is if my GC is approved and if she is not linked, it would be a problem,I guess.

So, please advise me as to how would i know if she is linked to my application?

Friends,

I came to USA on H1B on Feb-07. I was working all the time except 6 months. I have pay slips with me and W2 forms. Now I am working on the project but it will be over on 15th of April-09.

I will complete my 3 years. But after this project is over, I don't know I can find the job again.

My question is,is it right time to do the visa transfer? Does it requires very recent pay stub of 3 months? I do not have pay stub for Jan and Feb-09.Does it matters?

What will be my best choice to transfer the visa(but don't know will have job after 15th so does it matters for transfer like client letter) or wait until May-June and file the 3 year extension ? But again that time I will have pay slips until April only.

I am really confused. Please give me your suggestions

Hi,

Based on what I know, the medical exam has to be less than 1 year old on the date of I-485 application submission. However, I have seen different opinions on this forum. Some state that the exam date cannot be more than 30 days before I-485 submission, because the HIV test and syphyllis test (sorry if not typed correctly) are valid for 30 days only. Could anyone clarify this, please?

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case.
