Hi
My 485+140 is currently with my lawyers for filing.
In the meantime, my wife's dates went current. Her lawyer says it is ok to apply her 485 and it is preferred so we have a backup.
However, BCIS might get confused and ask us to pick one 485 at a later date - but the lawyer advises to file it now and face it later.
1) Has anyone does this?
2) Should my wife apply EAD and AP as well or just 485?
3) What are the problems I should expect?

Many of us repeatedly repeated the same repeating mesage to attend DC rally so that it can repeat in the EARS of all repeatedly whining GC seekers visiting repeatedly every immigration website repeatedly thinking that their GC will come some day. A new poll from Bendixen and Associates of 800 Hispanic voters across the country reveals an electorate that is leaning Democratic, but one that is very concerned over how the Democrats are handling the immigration issue. This bill has provisions for Schedule A workers (nurses) not for EB green card.

I sent my I-485 application to USCIS on July 31, 2007. On their website they logged the following message:
"Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On September 24, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case....."
Why is the received date Sep 24, 2007 when the application was most likely received on Aug 1, 2007?

But when Republicans shut down the government in a spending clash with President Bill Clinton, Mr. Gillespie warned it was the wrong battle to pick.
�He understands the limits of what you can expect people to buy,� Mr. Armey explained.
Now, after a stint as Republican National Committee chairman and a lobbying career that made him a multimillionaire, Mr. Gillespie is back in government as a street fighter and salesman for conservative ideas and the politician behind them � in this case, President Bush. Once again, he is in the thick of a budget fight between the White House and Congress.
But this time, he is driving the confrontation.
As the clock ticks toward a Congressional recess, with Democrats struggling to wrap 11 major spending bills into one and Mr. Bush threatening to veto the huge package, Republicans see the hand of Mr. Gillespie at work. As counselor to the president, a job he took in July, Mr. Gillespie is trying to write a new narrative for Mr. Bush, one that casts him in the role of fiscal conservative, sharpening the contrast between him and Democrats while repairing his tattered image with the Republican base.

�Ed believes that one of the reasons the Republicans lost is because we had lost our way on spending,� said Pete Wehner, a former policy analyst for Mr. Bush who left the White House this spring. �He worked for Dick Armey; I think he�s a small government conservative, and I think he believes Democrats and their spending habits are a target-rich environment.�
And Democrats have provided targets, by waiting until two months into the new fiscal year to finish their appropriations work. Mr. Bush has already vetoed Democratic measures on children�s health and Iraq war spending, and a water resources bill � all the while complaining lawmakers are wasting taxpayers� money, and scolding them like errant schoolchildren who forgot to turn in their homework.

In 2000, he was a member of the Gang of Six, a group of strategists for the Bush-Cheney campaign. That same year, he joined with Jack Quinn, a former White House counsel to Mr. Clinton, to found Quinn Gillespie & Associates, his lobbying firm. He earned a reported $4.75 million when he sold his share of the firm to join the White House, but he could easily pass through Washington�s revolving door yet again, earning even more after Mr. Bush leaves office.

Employer A - LC applied in Dec 07, Currently on 7th year extension till Jan 2010. Stamped visa.
Employer B wishes to recruit me by transfer H1-B and utilize recapture time. The total time they would get is till Apr 2010 (which includes recpature time) along with 7th year I-797.
Employer B wishes to file LC 1 month after I join them.
Assuming that I join them by end of Dec 2009, I have the following questions about my H1-B extension
Lets consider Dec 30th as the date to start the LC application.
What I understand is that based on the LC from Employer B,
Can I get extension on my H1-B beyond APR 2010.
for 1 yr - Based on LC from employer B being pending/approved until Apr 2010
for 3 yr - Based on LC from employer B being approved and I-140 approved.
Apply for premium processing of I-140 before 60 days of Apr 2010 if LC is approved and I-140 is pending.
Your response is appreciated.

I am having a problem and dont know where to start on this one, my experience in c# programming is average and was hoping for some advice on this subject. I have a disc image (an exact duplicate of a 40gb hard disc drive) the format is a dd image.
My task requires me to programmatically read through the files on this image, compare file extensions and recognise certain file types on the drive. Is this possible? I cannot find anyone who has attempted this on the internet and would appreciate any guidance to get the ball rolling.

Have we taken in to account these action items
1) Improve Overall GC Process time.
2) Re-use all unused visa's that went in vain in past
3) Count each family as one visa instead of each for each family member.
And What do we need to do as a member of IV to lobby these changes.

If anyone had similar requirements ,I would really appreciate your views on this.
My Company says that the Minimum Job requirement for the my JOB is
5 years of progressive exp in developing applications in JAVA
and there in 2 years of experience in mobile systems.
I have 6 years of progressive experience in Java, and 4 years in mobile systems. Do you anticipate any issues with an EB2 approval.
I always thought eb2 is ms/bs+ 5 years of progressive, i never know it could be bs + 5 years in core skills and 2 years in others.
