Thanks a lot for your great service.

I am a July' 07 I-485 filer and have received my EAD and AP.

I am currently on H1 and not using my EAD yet.

In my situation can I accept any contract work on 1099? This will be beside my full time work.

Do I have to switch to EAD from H1 to accept 1099 for contract work?

Hi,

Because of some reason or the other it happend to be so bad that my I140 documents were sent by courier on Tuesday - 17 July 2007.

can any one of you please suggest what best I can do to file my 485 during this current window July 17 to Aug 17 2007.

I appreciate your suggestions / adive...

I have valid SSN and B1 visa. My employer wants to me travel to US after getting confirmation on my project from US. My employer is willing to do a change of status while I will be in US.

1. Is it feasible or any process which US Immigration supports? Could anyone pls help me with any USICS link which details about the same i.e 'Change of Status'

2. Is there any risks involved in it provided the change of status is a legal process?

could any body please let me know which time is the best time for checking/taking interview appointment from VFS site as from 3 to 4 days onwards i am checking for the availabity dstes in VFS site for scheduling appointment but there is no dates available for our language.

I read somewhere regarding the partiicular time(as soon as after updating the available dates in that site) , at that time if we check the VFS site if any appointments are available for that day it will show else no dates in that full day. thank you for all .

Only during I 140 USCIS will ask for Exp letter whatever you showed in PERM. I think your previous exp should be related to your new job role.

First of all I am filing by postal mail USPS(not e-filing)

1)is it necessary to include I-765 receipt notice(EAD) with my AP application.. But I have only my last years one which will expire in a few months.
2) for AP renewal is it necessary to include marriage certificate for spouse
3) When filing by postal mail, and also considering i applied my I-485/I-140 before july 30/2007, old fee schedule... do i need to pay biometric fee for my renewal
4) I am in Texas and for mailing EAD and AP - can I send them together for me and my spouse. I see different PO Boxes for EAD and AP addresses for the Mesquite, TX address

IN I-765, is it enough only to specify the previous EAD information regarding the office filed and receipt date...or do i have to include my OPT EAD as well as my previous EAD filed last year.

Hi,

I have applied for H1-B in India from Comany B in 2007 and got H1-B approved peititon.
Later on I got L1-A visa from my company A in Feb 2008 and came to USA on L1-A visa in Feb2008 and working for comany A till date on L1 visa.

Now I want to change my status from L1A to H1-B to join company C .

My H1 petition is valid till 2010 October. My questions are

1. Can I change my status from L1A to H1B any time before October 2010(H1b expiry date).

if not, How many months before I need to change from L1 to H1b before my H1b petition expires.

2. My current project is still ongoing till October,2010 and I am with L1 status. so Can I wait till October and then apply for change of status to join new company C on H1-B visa.

Need your help.

I have quick question, coming month (April) I am going to Indian and planning for stamping. I have advance parole with me. If my visa got rejected or delayed can I come back to USA using my advance parole?
